Mind-Full Massage can be combined with whatever type of massage you specialize in. If you have read or listened to the description of the Mind-Full Massage technique, you already know that you play our guided meditation for your clients while you are giving them a massage. The results are amazing!
It is recommended that you purchase the introductory kit first. This kit gives you all the background information, studies, and theories to educate you on Mind-Full Massage. It also provides you with a ready-to-print brochure to promote your new technique, professional CD’S with meditations that were recorded with and without background music, a certificate to display upon completion of requirements, and copies of our “at home” meditation to give to your clients that corresponds with the meditation they heard during their massage. The professional meditation CD that you use during the massage has versions with and without background music to accommodate therapists who may have music piped into their room that cannot be turned off or who already have certain music they enjoy. The version of the meditation that the client takes home with them does have soothing background music. You can purchase more “at-home” meditation CD’S for your clients at anytime as your business grows. We offer discounted packages that become more economical as you purchase a higher number of CD’S. Check the details on each package. Downloads are also available instead of CD’s for those who prefer that format. It’s very easy! Decide what your goal is, choose a meditation relative to that of your goal, and listen to it!
The meditations are guided, which means not only will you hear soothing music, but you will be given “suggestions” on how to breathe and what to visualize and focus on. You just pick a time when you can relax without interruption, some people choose bedtime. We recommend using headphones to help you get the most out of your meditation, because they will keep distracting noises out. Listening everyday will reinforce the positive changes you are striving to achieve.

About Ellen Makarewicz-Ely, Founder of Mind-Full Massage

Mindful MassageEllen’s career started when she had her first massage at nearly 40 years old! Two months later she was enrolled in massage school and her love for massage therapy began. After graduating in 1997 she became an assistant instructor, and continued to assist for the next 5 years. Education seemed to come naturally to Ellen, so she started teaching her own classes for the following 10 years. Along the way she was eager to learn anything that would compliment and enhance the massage that she was giving in her own full-time practice.

She has been a member of a professional massage organization since graduation. She acquired her certification in prenatal massage, became a Reiki practitioner, passed her state boards for esthetics, and took numerous workshops that included Repetitive Use Injury Therapy by Michael Young, Hot Rock Therapy, and the Anat Baniel Method for Healthy Backs. Always thirsty for more knowledge, She started turning to trade magazines for new techniques and searched for books on anything related to her profession. With a desire to help others and excited to share what she was learning about the mind/body/spirit connection and the benefits of positive thinking, Ellen decided to start by recording a children’s meditation CD. The idea for the next venture came while she was working on a client and he mentioned that people should be more “mindful” during their massage to fully enjoy the experience. With that comment still in her mind, Ellen was trying to get her next stressed-out client to relax, and thought, “If I could get her to meditate, her body would relax and the massage would be of greater benefit”….and Mind-Full Massage was born.
